One thread for PRs, then one thread for WRs. Oh, and I'll have a reason to make this post in a bit.

Cooper, why does your avatar text say you have the Greenwood Village 3lap WR? Why do people keep ignoring the fact that Mitani pwned most of the WRs? When are his times gonna be added to the site? Has he submitted them yet?

and why are you persistent? he has not submitted them, no. I am waiting for the new site design to come up before I add any new times for the hovercraft times, which should not be long now.

when he's officially on the site, i'll change it. until then though, i have the WR.No, you have the site record. Mitani has a faster time, so he has the WR, or were you actually subtly complimenting him by implying that his times are out of this world? btw, whats mitani's time on GV 3lap for cart?1:08.96, almost 3 seconds faster than your time. You can find all his times here: www3.tokai.or.jp/Deruta_Omega/

No, I think it's more like a general gaming competition fetish.

"1:08.96, almost 3 seconds faster than your time."
how is that possible? my best splits are : 25.80, 22.71, 22.71 = 1:11.22. how is he going that much faster? i dont know how i could take off that much time when i feel like i'm already going as fast as i can. is that GV run on his site?

I think the easiest place to lose time without realizing it is the zipper at the end of the first turn. I don't know if this really makes a difference, but I don't do a right facing slide there, I just go over it and turn to the right, and then start a left facing slide. Also, I can't tell if you're doing this well from your vid, but I've found that it's important to let go of A for the zippers at the last possible moment. Another thing that probably cost you a few hundredths was the very first slide, it starts out aiming too far to the left instead of being as straight as possible. It also looks like you could have taken the last turn slightly tighter, especially at the end when you came wide as you went over the zipper. Anyway, sorry for being so critical, your time is already very good there, but hopefully there's at least one thing I said that'll help you. I hope you beat Pat's time soon, having all the WRs would be really cool.
Edit: I almost forgot, I think I have the ghost saved for my 42.20 emulator/autofire run, so if you want to race against it, you'll need PJ64 and the rom Diddy Kong Racing (U) (V1.0) [!], and then I'll send you the memory pak file.

yeah, the zippers can be a killer, and what fried said is true in that first one, I think its best to just left off and go straight then then go into a left slide

Oops, that was a typo, it should have said "it starts out aiming too far to the right."
